Schlumberger releases stimulation tech delivery pl

Schlumberger introduced the SPARK stimulation technology delivery platform which through customer collaboration, combines stimulation technology, chemistry and exclusive techniques to provide a new solution to stimulation needs.

Schlumberger Well Services president Dominique Malard said, “We are supporting our customers by coupling our proprietary fluid systems, blending equipment and engineering expertise with non-Schlumberger pumping units. This initiative will leverage high-pressure pumping equipment provided by third-party services – whether vertically integrated customers or service contractors – to offer new options for stimulation applications.”

The SPARK stimulation technology delivery platform includes OpenFRAC family fluid additive systems to provide high performance with full disclosure, HiWAY flow-channel hydraulic fracturing service to create infinite-conductivity channels for hydrocarbon flow and ClearFRAC polymer-free fracturing fluid for greater fracturing efficiency with less damage to the reservoir in comparison to conventional systems.

HiWAY service has helped Eagle Ford customers increase production by over 20% while reducing water usage by 25% and proppant consumption by 42% on average. Additional services are being developed as part of the SPARK technology delivery platform, including cementing.
