ICA Fluor to construct Pemex GoM offshore platform

Empresas ICA, S.A. B de C.V. and Fluor Corporation industrial joint venture, ICA Fluor has signed a contract with Pemex Exploration and Production for the construction of an offshore production platform for the Ku-Maloob-Zaap field in the Gulf of Mexico.
 
The total contract value is USD$95 million with Fluor’s share of USD$47.5 million to be booked in the second quarter.
 
The responsibilities of procurement, construction, testing and load out of the Ayatsil-C platform will be taken on by ICA Fluor and its subsidiary Industria del Hierro. The Ayatsil-C platform will weigh 11.832 tons and reach 132 meters deep and be the first of its size to be installed by Pemex. Completion on the project is expected by the end of 2013.
