Rotork Controls appoints new Technical Director

Rotork has announced the appointment of Andrew Withers as Technical Director of Rotork Controls, the global Rotork flow control engineering group’s electric valve actuation division. Withers will be responsible for new product developments and research functions for Rotork’s electric actuator product lines, in his new position.
 
 
Withers has been working with Rotork since 2002, when he joined as a Graduate Electronics Design Engineer after earning a University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology First Class Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering. His work with Rotork has been closely involved with major product developments with the company’s IQ electric actuators, the CVA electric control valve actuator and the SI/EH electro-hydraulic actuator ranges. In 2009 Withers was promoted to Senior Engineer and became Electronics Design Manager in 2011, playing an important role in the introduction of the third generation flagship Rotork IQ range of intelligent electric valve actuators.

 
 
Andrew Withers will be taking over the position from Graham Ogden will focus on developments for all of the Rotork Group divisions, such as Fluid Systems, Controls, Gears and Instruments and directing specific strategic group programmes in his role as Rotork Group Research and Development Director.
