Magellan Midstream Partners is constructing a 6 mi, 24in diameter crude oil pipeline between the pipeline interchanges of Genoa Junction and Speed Junction. It will connect to the 24in diameter crude oil pipeline along the Houston ship cannel that was previously announced as part of the partnership’s Houston-to-El Paso pipeline reversal project, allowing Magellan to further distribute product from the Eagle Ford Shale area to Houston-area refineries. The project is expected to be operational by the end of 2012.
