Tyco opens facility in Port Arthur

Tyco Valves & Controls has opened a 12,500 sq/ft, state-of-the-art center in Port Arthur, Texas, to maintain and repair customers’ valves, actuation and controls. An experienced team at the facility will service pressure relief valves, quarter turn valves, control valves and actuators. In addition to Tyco products, the center will also repair other manufacturers’ products, using original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. To assist customers in tracking the maintenance history of each valve in their plants, Tyco also offers its eDge asset management system at this location. This proprietary system simplifies the task of tracking valves and controls. It provides real-time, online tracking, not only of a product’s maintenance history, but also of actions taken to prevent future problems. This helps plant owners plan maintenance outages, stay on task with routine maintenance checks, and have additional insight when a product requires repairs. The Port Arthur center will employ 15 people with specialized skills to perform both critical and routine maintenance.
