New wastewater treatment plant in Brazil

Brazilian construction company Amafi Comercial e Construtora has been awarded a contract to build a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Franco da Rocha for São Paulo state water utility Sabesp. The scope of work includes laying 15.9km of trunk pipeline and 33.4km of collector pipeline in addition to building the plant, all of which falls under phase III of the state’s Tietê river sanitation plan. The project has a scheduled completion date of 2013.
