SGS Workshop was a success

SGS has reported that its Workshop on Instrumentation and Control Valves held on May 14, 2011 at the SGS PID valve calibration shop in Esteio, Brazil, proved to be a great success.
With 40 representatives from the local industry present, including coordinators, supervisors, instrumentation, mechanical and electromechanical technicians, instrumentalists and pipe fitters, the Workshop provided a perfect meeting place to learn more about the latest trends in the instrumentation and control valves sector.
SGS expert Luciano Xavier of SGS Brazil, who conducted the workshop, talked about the latest techniques in industrial instrumentation, calibration and loop tests for the commissioning of process plants, as well as the inspection and maintenance of control and safety/relief valves.
The attendees had a unique opportunity to visit the SGS valve shop and calibration laboratories to learn more about SGS services in this sector. The Workshop on Instrumentation and Control Valves took place for a second time, due to the high demand for such training services, and proved to be a great success.
