Keppel to Build Jack-Up Rig for Mexican Firm

Keppel Offshore & Marine sub Keppel AmFELS is building a repeat jack-up rig worth USD 195 million for Mexico’s Perforadora Central. The high specification rig unit will be based on the LeTourneau Super 116E design. It will be the first Super 116E newbuild with the capacity for an additional 1,500 kips of elevated load and will have leg lengths of 511 ft. The rig has the capacity to drill wells of up to 30,000 ft at a water depth of 375 ft.
