Bombardier receives huge Global aircraft order

Bombardier has received an order from NetJets Inc. to construct 50 Global jets with options for an additional 70 aircraft. This marks the company’s largest business aircraft sale in history with the transaction valued at approximately USD 2.8 billion, based on list prices. The total value of the order will exceed USD 6.7 billion if all options are exercised. As per the contract, Bombardier will build 30 Global 5000 Vision and Global Express XRS Vision aircraft, with deliveries set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2012. They will also construct 20 of the company’s newly launched Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2017.
