A $127 million power plant is being built by Conduit Capital in West Kingston, Jamaica. The plant will be operated and managed by Conduit’s Jamaica Energy Partners on behalf of its sister company, West Kingston Power Partners (WKPP). Construction has started on the 66MW project, which is expected to become operational by early 2012. Initially, the greenfield project will be fired by oil, and can also be made compatible to work on natural gas.
