Halliburton and Pertamina and Sign Fracturing MOU in Indonesia

Houston, Texas-based Halliburton signed an MOU with PT Pertamina to accelerate well construction and stimulation technologies in Indonesia.

PT Pertamina is Indonesia’s state-owned integrated energy company. Under the MOU, both companies will evaluate a number of opportunities. These include multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, acid stimulation, and advanced cementing services.

It also includes the potential application of closed-loop automation and artificial intelligence capabilities, which improve drilling and fracturing performance in selected onshore fields. The MOU will expand Halliburton’s unconventional completions footprint in Indonesia and emphasize how the company’s collaborative approach maximizes asset value.
