Summit Valves and Controls, the exclusive Western Canadian partner for Wey Valve Inc., recently delivered six 36” knife gate valves for the company, which will be used for a tailings service application in the Alberta oil sands.
The valves from Wey feature ductile Ni-Resist bodies, 17-4PH gates, and a rugged seat design. The combined features will provide bi-directional, bubble-tight isolation in one of the world’s toughest process environments.
All of the units are function-tested and verified with PEAK hydraulic power units by Custom Energized Air. The valves also join more than 14,000 units that have been supplied in region by WEY.
