VALBOL, based in Buenos Aires, has been awarded a contract to supply automated valves up to 42 inches for the Vaca Muerta Southern Pipeline (VMOS) project, one of Argentina’s most significant energy infrastructure developments.
The crude oil pipeline will transport production from the Vaca Muerta formation in the Neuquén Basin to the Atlantic coast. It’s expected to span approximately 267 to 280 miles. The contract entails providing essential flow-control equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
The scope of supply includes API 6D ball valves ranging from 2” to 42.” The valves are engineered to deliver high levels of reliability, safety, and performance, ensuring continuous operation under demanding conditions.
According to the company, the first 24″ and 30″ automated valves have been delivered and are ready for commissioning. Additionally, they will provide ongoing technical support across the lifecycle of the project. Valve deliveries are being executed in multiple phases and lead times range from 180 to 240 days. Final project completion is estimated for 2026.
The project further strengthens the company’s position in the oil and gas sector and supports the international projection of its specialized products into global markets and aligns with its long-term growth strategy.
