AMPO POYAM VALVES has supplied a set of highly engineered forged gate valves for BASF’s large-scale CR Cluster project, which is part of the broader BASF (Guandong) Integrated Project in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, China.
The valves are forged gate valves in F91 material, equipped with pneumatic and electric actuators, and include ever Forged Gate Pressure Seal valves of 24”-1500#class.
The project includes a steam cracker and several downstream plants, which are the central core of the Verbund site. It’s expected to begin production by the end of 2025. Once fully completed, it will be BASF’s third-largest site globally and its first wholly foreign-owned petrochemical plant in China.
The BASF (Guangdong) Integrated Project is one of the company’s most ambitious asset devlopements worldwide, with an estimated investment of around 10 billion USD.
