APV, a brand within SPX FLOW’s Nutrition & Health division, has secured a project worth more than USD $30 million with Arla Foods, one of the world’s largest dairy cooperatives.
The partnership aims to make the Lockerbie Creamery in Scotland a UHT center of excellence. It also underpins Arla’s ambition to be carbon net zero by 2050.
SPX FLOW designed the UHT solution around Arla’s agreed targets to minimize water, energy, and waste. These are key performance indicators for the dairy’s broader sustainability goals and enables long production runs, reduced operational steps, and supports a high-volume/low-product strategy.
Following completion of the project, the creamery will utilize a Flex-Mix Instant Mixer, Q055 Energy-Saving Plate Heat Exchangers, and assorted pumps and valves.
