Emerson’s Rosemount™ 4051S Pressure Transmitter is an industrial measurement solution engineered to meet the most demanding pressure measurement challenges. It provides local, real-time control, eliminating the need for a separate device such as a programmable logic controller (PLC).
The transmitter includes two configurable relay switches that can deliver on/off control for pumps, motors, and other equipment. These switches can also generate alerts based on parameters such as pressure, flow, totalized flow, level, volume, or module temperature.
Key features include advanced diagnostics that provide deeper insights into system performance. The transmitter’s loop integrity function continuously monitors the status of the entire electrical loop to detect potential failures, while its plugged impulse line detection alerts plant personnel to take corrective action when needed. Additionally, built-in process intelligence enables the transmitter to diagnose abnormal conditions such as cavitation.
