Emerson has announced its next-generation PACSystems Industrial Personal Computers (IPC), consisting of the IPC 6010, IPC 7010, and IPC 8010. The models expand Emerson’s high-performance IPC series and are designed for demanding applications, artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced analytics.
According to Emerson, the IPCs feature the first CPU designed specifically to support AI-enabled capabilities. These capabilities include predictive maintenance, process optimization, quality inspection, decision support, and supply chain management.
The IPC’s also introduce significant performance updates, new options and price points. For instance, the compact design houses soldered industrial-rated 13th Generation Intel Core Processors and have up to 64 FG soldered ECC memory for maximum resistance against shock and vibration.
They also incorporate fan-less cooling up to 70°C and Emerson’s patented vibration and thermal technologies. An optional fan is available for higher-temperature environments.
