Danfoss Climate Solutions is now manufacturing a significant number of its GBC 45 and 49 bar shutoff ball valves in Monterrey, Mexico. The move was made to strengthen its supply chain, reduce delivery times and increase flexibility in the North American market. The GBC valves were previously manufactured in Danfoss’ facility in China.
Both valves are designed for A1, A2L and A3 refrigerants including liquid, suction, and hot gas lines in refrigeration systems. Their broad temperature range allows them to control the flow of refrigerant and guard against leaks in air conditioning, refrigeration and freezing applications.
To prepare the Monterrey factory, Danfoss global teams collaborated to replicate the manufacturing processes from China. This included incorporating auto-brazing, laser welding, and helium leak testing to ensure quality and reliable standards.
