KITZ to Supply Valve Systems for Lunar Gateway Project

KITZ is currently involved in the design of valves crucial to the life support of the International Habitation module (I-Hab). The I-Hab is part of the manned lunar orbiting station, Gateway, which is being developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.

The valves will be equipped on the Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS). It includes functions related to environmental control such as pressure control, oxygen supply, and the removal of carbon dioxide and harmful gases.

As the company has been tasked with maintaining fluid control under such harsh conditions, KITZ has successfully developed valves capable of controlling fluid under the extreme conditions of -253℃ for liquid hydrogen and 98MPa for ultra-high-pressure hydrogen in our hydrogen business.

The company is involved in the development due to its highly evaluated stable quality, mass production technology, and the reliability of its valves.
