Petrobras Signs R$8.4B Contract for Búzios 11 Underwater Project

Petrobras has signed an engineering, acquisition, construction and subsea installation (EPCI) contract with Subsea7 for the Búzios 11 Project worth R$8.4 billion. The agreement is a result of a competitive contracting process and expected to generate over a thousand direct and indirect employees.

The contract establishes a minimum requirement of 40% local content, but the expectation is to reach a percentage above 50%.

The Búzios 11 Production Development Project foresees the interconnection of 15 wells to the P-83 platform with eight producers and seven alternating water and gas injectors. The scheduling of the EPCI Búzios 11 offshore campaign is for October 2027. The Búzios consortium composes of Petrobras (operator), Chinese partner companies CNOOC, CNODC and PPSA, the company managing the production sharing contracts.
