Aalberts Announces Chief Marketing & Digital Officer and Chief Strategy Officer

Aalberts announces the appointment of Mattijs Planken as the new Chief Marketing & Digital Officer and Moncef Tanfour as the new Chief Strategy Officer.

Mattijs Planken is moving on from Director of Strategy, Marketing and Corporate Development. Mattijs has spearheaded multiple new initiatives to drive Aalberts forward and has been pivotal to lead the deployment of the Aalberts brand and Aalberts values across the company. He led the strategic process that defined Aalberts’ Thrive 2030 ambitions, as presented during their Capital Markets Day.

As the company’s first Chief Marketing & Digital Officer, Mattijs will continue to play a key role in the next growth and development phase of Aalberts, where they look to accelerate profitable growth and leadership positions. He will lead corporate communications, ensure Aalberts corporate brand deployment, and lead global marketing initiatives across our 3 business segments to support accelerated growth in our attractive end markets.

Moncef Tanfour brings broad international experience from global companies such as Grundfos, Sulzer, and Alstom. He has been leading strategic growth initiatives and transformations through M&A and divestments, forging strong partnerships and working with executive leaders.

With a passion for sustainability, he is a dedicated people developer who excels at engaging diverse stakeholders, building high-performing diverse teams, navigating different cultural and organisational contexts, and steering businesses for success.

As the company’s first Chief Strategy Officer, Moncef will play a key role in the deployment of the Thrive 2030 strategy. Moncef will oversee the company-wide strategic planning process, and lead the portfolio optimisation process with M&A and divestments efforts positioning Aalberts for long term growth and value creation.
