TransDigm acquires Airborne Systems

TransDigm Group Incorporated recently announced the completion of the acquisition of Airborne Systems Inc. for approximately USD $250 million. Ohio-based TransDigm Group is a leading designer and manufacturer of highly engineered aircraft components, including valves, actuators, ignition systems and engine technology.

Airborne Systems is an industry-leading manufacturer of personnel parachutes, cargo aerial delivery systems, emergency escape systems, naval decoys and other related products. Airborne Systems’ highly proprietary products have significant sole source positions with the governments of the United States, United Kingdom and over 50 additional nations.
