MHI part of Global 100 for the 6th time

Corporate Knights, a media and investment research company based in Toronto, Canada selected Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) among this year’s Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, commonly referred to as the ‘Global 100’. This is the sixth time that MHI has been selected as a ‘Global 100’ company.

Since 2005, Corporate Knights has announced its Global 100 rankings once yearly to coincide with the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. It compiles its rankings based on independent analysis of the sustainability of global corporations in aspects including the environment, social responsibility and governance. This year, Corporate Knights conducted its performance analysis on a target group of approximately 4,000 enterprises.

MHI was included on the 2014 Global 100 list in recognition especially of its outstanding quartile performance ratings compared to its industry peers with respect to greenhouse gas (GHG) productivity, waste productivity, employee turnover and innovation capacity.
