GEH and Lockheed sign nuclear deal

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) has formed an alliance with Lockheed Martin, thereby securing a digital control system supplier for its advanced nuclear reactors. The companies will join forces to design and manufacture advanced controls for use in GEH’s Economic Simplified Boiling Water Reactors (ESBWRs), which it is developing for the US market as well as for export overseas. In addition to main controls packages, Lockheed Martin also will provide GEH with related simulation and training support, as well as services and replacement equipment.
