Actuators with spool-position sensors

Danfoss Power Solutions is now offering the PVE series 7 actuators, which feature a “plug-and-perform” design that works alongside the Company’s high-performance proportional valves (which are PVG 32, PVG 100, PVG 120, and the new PVG 128 and PVG 256), as well as its steering valves (which are EHPS, EH, EHi, and OSPE).

This new line of actuators feature a spool-position sensor that is equipped with a dual demodulator that gives spool-position feedback, which ensures that all valves are in their correct position at any given input signal. This is a very important feature to these new actuators. There are also built-in safeguards such as fault monitoring, optional spool-direction indication, and separate float control.
These series 7 actuators are even backwards-compatible with Danfoss’ PVE Series 4 actuators, which offers more space around the valve. There is also a microcontroller with embedded software algorithms to increase repeatability and a wider temperature range from −40 to 90°C.
